We’re building a greenhouse in a couple months and you will be able to access directly from the back door. It will have a water garden and a bunch of plants. Is it a good idea to add a kitty door to let my kitten have access to it? She’s an indoor cat so I will probably never let her outside unless she’s in an enclosure. Is this a good idea? Or not. Thanks.

I just got my garden tilled and now I’m anxious to get the plants in the ground. The problem is last year all my produce ended up being really small, so I think the soil is deficient in nutrients. Should I put fertilizer on the soil before putting in the plants? What kind? My garden is fairly big — around 400 sq. feet. — so it would be really hard if I had to pour fertilizer onto each plant from a watering can. I know compost or manure might be good, but it costs way too much at a greenhouse and I don’t know any farmers that could give it to me. Besides, I don’t have any way of hauling it. Is there something I could sprinkle on the ground beforehand, or something I can hook up to the hose and use after the plants are in?

I am planning on building a greenhouse in my yard. I was wondering if it might be a good idea to install a heating system so i could grow plants during the winter. Would they grow well or would it be a waste of money?
I was going to make it out of glass or some clear material to let sunlight in, and have maybe have it heated so i could useit year round. Either that or I was going to use high pressure sodium lights indoors. Any ideas about which is better?

i have a garden that is about 20 feet long and maybe about 6ish feet wide. we just moved into the house last year and didn’t really have time to get into the garden to fix it so it became quite overgrown. what is the best way to get rid of the overgrowth and turn it into a garden for this year? i do have access to a mantis tiller thingy but not until may and i do get discounts at the local greenhouse for plants and any weed blockers… so how would you suggest going about this before it becomes to unmanageable again?
i have no idea what is in the garden, there might be a couple flowers but i don’t know what they are. the garden runs along a fence and there is nothing on the other side in the neighbors yard. also there are no trees… just weeds, overgrowth, and a couple flowers that i don’t mind getting rid of to start over.

I planted a pumpkin seed outside about a month ago, and planted one in the greenhouse, and the one in the greenhouse is WAY bigger than the one outside. Does constant heat make it grow faster?

I can’t decide what type of greenhouse to build. Wood frame would be sturdier, but pvc would be easier and cheaper. I live in gardening zone 7 in north Alabama, and I’m looking to over-winter some of my plants and also propagate seeds earlier. I’m not really sure what type of greenhouse best suits my needs. Can someone help me decide and also does anyone know where I can find plans? PS. I’m on a budget
