contrarycrow asked:

I’m looking for names, numbers and/or links for greenhouses that have drought-tolerant plants native to the high desert of northern New Mexico. I want to plant bulbs and things now that will start early in the spring.

Contact your county Master Gardener program; they have handouts that they can mail you; and they can give you advice that they personally are familiar with. Attached is a link to the New Mexico Master Gardener links.
Also New Mexico native plant society and here’s a site with high country perennials

    Here you go.

Try a search on native NM wildflowers. mariposa lilly grows in the High Country in WY Rockies, sage (medicinal, pot herb, dries beautifully), bistort…

    have fun

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center has an EXCELLENT online database of plants for every state in the U.S., as well as all the Canadian provinces. If you need information on a specific plant, you can also call them (they’re in Austin, Texas). They’re very nice folks :-)

I am in the Tucson area so I am in low, hot desert but I have had terrific experience with….

The sell varieties for high & low desert. Their plants are terrific! I have never had such success with other mail order plants.
    Good Luck!

call your local county extension office. they have a list of master gardeners in each county. they also have all the pamphlets for xeriscaping here in NM.
